Fire and Rescue Service Equipment Made in the UK

First responders rely on equipment that performs without compromise. Supply Plus designs and manufactures fire and rescue service equipment that crews can depend on, call after call.

Our access, storage and deployment solutions are fitted to fire-fighting and rescue vehicles worldwide. Every product is British made at our Cambridge manufacturing facility and trusted internationally.

Equipment Built for Every Rescue Service

Supply Plus supplies equipment for fire and rescue, police, detention and civil defence users. We work closely with vehicle manufacturers and end users to meet the demands of blue light operations.

Whether a crew is called to a house fire, a road traffic collision or an incident in a high rise building, the kit on board must work first time. That is why every rescue service we support can count on safety by design and quality assured reliability.

Our equipment is sold under three trusted British brands: +AS Fire & Safety, +Bayley and +Collins Youldon. Together, they cover ladders, gantries, shutters, hose reels and access hatches.

What Every Fire Engine Needs

A modern fire engine is a working platform packed with specialist kit. Everything the appliance carries must be stored safely, reached quickly and deployed without delay.

Supply Plus provides the core rescue equipment that makes this possible. Our range includes:

+AS ladders and +Bayley ladders. Beam gantries and the PowerBeam™ powered gantry. +AS shutters. +Collins Youldon hose reels, mobile hose reels and Catherine reels. Access hatches and manlids for water and foam tanks.

Spares and accessories are also available to keep every appliance in service.

Fire and Rescue Ladders

Ladders are among the most important items a fire appliance carries. Our +AS and +Bayley ladders are certified to BS EN 1147:2010 and are in service with fire authorities around the world.

+AS Ladders

The +AS DX double extension ladder offers outstanding stability while remaining lightweight and rigid. A unique rivet and truss construction places material only where strength is required.

The ladder is service friendly, so damaged components can be replaced or repaired at our factory. +AS TX ladders are in service in over 50 countries.

+Bayley Ladders

+Bayley has made ladders since 1797 and built the first wheeled escape ladders. Its star-shaped rungs cannot rotate in the stiles, giving a firm, secure step.

The +Bayley DX is available from 3.9m to 10.5m in 2 or 3 sections. It is certified for a 3-person rescue and is manufactured entirely in the UK.

Gantries for Safe Ladder Stowage

Working at height regulations mean roof stowage must be brought down to the operator. Our +AS gantries do exactly that, lowering ladders and equipment to a safe working height.

All +AS gantries deploy from the rear. This is safer in tight streets and preserves access to side roller shutters and pump bays.

Beam Gantries

Beam gantries provide controlled deployment from ground level. They are available in manual, assisted and powered versions and can be configured to the appliance layout.

PowerBeam™

PowerBeam™ offers powered raising and lowering as standard, running on 24V DC with a manual override. It can carry ladders, equipment boxes, breathing apparatus racks and boats, with payloads of up to 300 kg depending on the model.

More Room for Water

Our gantries support flat roof designs. A flat roof allows the appliance to carry larger volumes of water or foam, or to provide a clean cab layout.

A clean cab keeps dirty kit separate after an incident. This supports decontamination and helps protect crews.

Shutters for Fire Appliances

+AS shutters are designed for rapid single-handed operation. They give crews fast, reliable access to lockers and equipment.

Century 2000 Flexible

Proven over more than 20 years, the Century 2000 Flexible uses a patented flexible hinge that resists salt, dirt and ice. It can be powder coated in any RAL colour.

Century 2000 Mechanical

This shutter features an inter lath rubber seal. Central locking is available in 12V or 24V with a fail safe design.

Ultra and +AS-Lite

The Ultra shutter uses fewer components and is built to last the life of the vehicle. The +AS-Lite curtain is 30% lighter and offers a flat surface for Battenburg livery, with optional LED locker lighting.

Hose Reels and Firefighting Equipment

+Collins Youldon hose reels are widely established across the European fire and rescue sector. We work with leading fire truck manufacturers to supply reels that crews can trust.

Hose Reel Range

Models include Lowline, Compact, Standard, Intermediate, High Capacity and Ultra. Fluid paths range from ¾" to 2" (19 to 51mm), with dual options available.

Rewind options include manual, electric, air and hydraulic. A fire finish is available in painted mild steel or stainless steel.

Mobile Hose Reels

Our mobile hose reels are AFNOR approved to NFS 61 521 and NF 377. They hold up to 200 metres of 70mm hose and feature puncture-resistant, extra heavy duty wheels.

Access Hatches for Water and Foam Tanks

+Collins Youldon inspection hatches and manlids provide secure access to tanks holding water and foam concentrates. The 42VM is our model of choice for the fire industry.

These hatches keep unauthorised access at bay while allowing easy inspection and maintenance.

Spares, Upgrades and Accessories

Keeping rescue equipment in service is just as important as specifying it correctly. Supply Plus provides a comprehensive range of spares and accessories for fire and rescue applications.

The ELSI upgrade reduces the pull load of +AS TX ladders by up to 50%. This patent-pending upgrade remains compliant with BS EN1147.

Other accessories include PAC mounting tools, for which we are Master Distributor, as well as bonding reels and swing-out platforms.

Working With Vehicle Manufacturers

Supply Plus collaborates closely with vehicle manufacturers, bodybuilders and fleet integrators. Our gantries are designed to simplify installation and reduce build time.

By working together from the earliest stage, we help ensure that every fire engine leaves the factory with equipment configured precisely to its operational requirements.

Training and Support

Supply Plus offers ladder maintenance and testing training. Courses include a 3-day comprehensive course and a 2-day refresher.

Training covers the rung change procedure, rivet and truss repair and the BS EN1147:2010 annual deflection test. We recommend a refresher every three years.

Our after-sales and dedicated support teams help keep your equipment ready for action, wherever in the world your fleet operates.
